Future of WMS Panel: Submit Your Questions!

On Monday evening, 10/16 from 7:00-8:00pm the PTO will be hosting a zoom with Dr. Ito and panelists to discuss the strategic vision for the future of WMS. This is our first of four all parent PTO meetings. Please submit your questions that pertain to the “Future of WMS” in advance, by emailing Katie at wmsptoinfo@gmail.com by Monday, October 9th. Thank you!

Words of Welcome

We would like to welcome the 3 members of our new WMS Green Team: Roopa Chandrasekaran, Erin Hester, and Jon Mantak. They will be assisting with cafeteria composting efforts, sharing tips for living green, and increasing general awareness to reduce our carbon footprint at WMS.

We would also like to welcome George Moses to the METCO planning team. He will be working with Kafi Meadows to coordinate a fun spring event for all of our Boston students. Stay tuned!

Please congratulate Jennifer Green and Melissa Johannes who will be serving on the WMS School Council which meets monthly to talk about school policy. They will be joined by Julie Herlihy and Vahideh Nilforoshan who are in their second year of service, as well as Scott Lainer, our PTO representative.

Last but certainly not least, we would like to thank parents Cristina O’Brien and Leigh Thomas for delivering new clothes to the Nurses Office for all of the students in need throughout the year.

WMS PTO Donations: Annual Appeal

You may have noticed a letter in the mail recently about how to support our collective PTO efforts and stay informed. You can follow us on Instagram @wmspto.news or on Facebook at “Wellesley Middle School PTO”.

The suggested contribution for the year is $125 per student, and we truly appreciate any amount you can donate to help us achieve 100% participation.

Our new PTO website (rolling out soon) will include data about the total budget and what percentages go to teacher’s grant requests for classroom enrichment, guest speakers such as Katie Greer on 12/5, school events, teacher & staff appreciation efforts, and the like.

Please help us continue our efforts by donating below today. If you have already donated, we thank you for being so speedy!
